My Website Security and Users

Keeping my website safe is important. If my site is not protected, someone could break in, steal information, or mess up my pages. Here are three things I do to help keep my WordPress site secure:

1. Enable SSL

SSL puts a lock on my website and changes it to “https.” This means information is safe when people visit or log in.

2. Use Security Plugins

I use plugins like Wordfence, Really Simple SSL, WP Activity Log, and Login LockDown. These help block hackers, watch for problems, and protect the login page.

3. Update Plugins

I learned that it’s important to update plugins and themes, so I plan to do this to keep my site safe.

  • Administrator (me): I run the site, mix things up, and keep everything fresh behind the scenes.
  • Editor: Jane checks new recipes and helps post.
  • Author: Bob writes and shares his own fruit drink ideas.
  • Contributor: Cindy sends in her recipe for me to look at first.
  • Subscriber: Sam reads every post and loves to leave comments.

These roles help me decide who can do what. Only people I trust get more permissions.
